3rd person omniscent
In Great Gatsby, Nick Carraway is our narrator and we perceive the story as he perceives the story. The Great Gatsby is in 3rd person omniscient point of view. This important detail of the story makes it much more enjoyable and interesting for the readers. It made myself believe that this person really did live through this to tell the tale. It made me feel more connected to the characters and the narrator himself. Also, this makes it feel more like a believable and real life story. When he uses "I" and "my", it makes the book feel more like his journal, and makes it much more enjoyable to read. Having one of the characters of the book narrate what is going on is a huge benefiting factor that makes the book more interesting, makes the reader feel more connected to the characters and the book itself, and makes the story seem more believable to the readers.
