The Great Gatsby By: F. Scott. Fitzgerald
Plot: Our Narrator and character, Nick Carraway, has recently moved to a town where he does not necessarily fit in that well in the 1920's, West Egg. His mysterious neighbor has legendary parties every Saturday night, he later finds out that his neighbor is known as Gatsby. Eventually, he finds himself at one of these parties with his new love interest, Jordan Baker. Before this however, Nick went to his cousin, Daisy's, house for dinner with her husband Tom. There he learns that Tom is having an affair with someone outside of West Egg. One day, Nick and Tom head up to visit her. There, Myrtle taunts Tom about Daisy and Tom gets into a fight with Myrtle. Now at Gatsby's party, Nick finds out that Gatsby and Daisy have a history, and that Gatsby is still in love with her. So, Nick tricks Daisy into meeting Gatsby again, despite the fact that Daisy is already married. Their romance is rekindled, and an affair begins. Eventually, Tom notices, gets suspicious, and then finds out. He couldn't believe his wife's disloyalty, even though he had done the same to her with Myrtle. Tom goes to a plaza hotel to confront Gatsby, and announces to his wife that Gatsby is a criminal. Tom then sends Gatsby and Daisy back to east egg attempting to prove that Gatsby can not hurt him.
